Through meditation, you can learn to pay attention to what is actually happening in the moment. This sounds very simple, but often in life it’s the little differences that make the big difference. Many of us live in a state of anxiety, thinking fearful thoughts about a future that probably won’t happen, but as we learn to live more present in the moment, that fear and anxiety often gives way to something more relaxed and peaceful. From there it’s much easier to slow down, let go of stresses and enjoy life as it is. Simply put, meditation is all about becoming better at being yourself.
Our mindfulness meditation classes are held in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The practice is presented in a way that is easy to learn and apply in the challenges of modern urban living. You will learn simple but powerful techniques that help you access positive emotional states more frequently and easily. Content of the lessons includes periods of guided meditation practice, simple awareness exercises and attention training as well as discussion/ question and answer periods.
